About Her
I find people fascinating! I love chatting and making new friends. My children are all grown-up and married. I have 2 married children in Jhb, a daughter living in Seattle, and another in the Netherlands.. My once vibrant nest is now very empty and lonely.
As a mother you throw your life into your children and then suddenly *whoof* they're gone, and you realise you've lost the plot somewhere!
I really wish to chat to someone who's looking to meet new friends who may also be in the same situation as me, or merely just love chatting. I'm definitely a people-person!
I have had to re-invent my life, but then I think that's what life is ... adapting to change ... aiming for new goals. I have been bitten by the travel bug and have done some travelling, something I didn't do before, other than holidaying with the family somewhere in South Africa.
Since my daughters started living overseas, I have travelled to London, San Francisco and Los Angeles, as well as The Netherlands.
I work from home, doing holiday letting, cruises and flights. This has broadened my horizons and keeps me quite busy at times, but I've also learned that balancing the scales is very important. I have a few gal-pals that join me on outings and getaway weekends ... and we have great fun together. I'm independent, and works keeps me busy at times, but also like my quiet time" when I can relax and just have some 'me time"
I have a new favourite pastime, and that is Formula 1 Grand Prix. I support Red Bull, and whilst I'm a fan of the Red Bull drivers, I also support Charl Leclerc, Lando Norris and Ferdinand Alonso....hope you enjoy Motor Racing too!
I do have high values and try to live my life the best I can. I don't say I'm perfect, who is?
It's not easy putting everything in a profile, without sounding conceited if you sing your own praises, or boring if you don't.

Someone friendly with a good sense of humour. Laughter IS the best medicine! Morals and values are important as well as being trustworthy. I've recently learned that one must be able to laugh at yourself at times .... not always easy... but it's still good.
No friendship can survive without loyalty and trust, it's the very foundation at all times. Someone who is loving, loyal and loves you for who you are.
There is not a person out there who doesn't have what I call a "fried egg" .... A "fried egg" is a person's weak point ... we all have them ... and we all make mistakes, but to learn from them is very important. Never be ashamed to apologise, pick yourself up, and start again. A very good saying is ... The difference between TRY and TRIUMPH .... is a little UMPH ... very clever, very true. So, basically, you don't have to be perfect ... but you should continually be prepared to TRY new things, TRY to better yourself.
I love to travel, often lucky enough to go on a cruises to the Portuguese Islands, the perks of selling cruises, I'm fortunate that when I do travel, I'm very spoiled by my girls. .
